The cabin is constructed with Canadian western red cedar logs. Enjoy 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open kitchen and living area, a large deck, and a screened in back porch. There is a stone fireplace that contains stone from the original cabin that was constructed in the late 1700s.
Enjoy local wineries, Skyline Drive (about 30 minutes away), venture out to DC for a day trip, or stay put and enjoy the house amenities. The sky has very low light pollution which provides a great backdrop for stargazing at night. We like to sit on the back porch in the rocking chairs and observe all of the wildlife that call the mountain home.

Summary: We loved this house so much! It was beautiful, comfortable, well-maintained, and full of fun things to do. The setting was a peaceful and quiet spot in the woods, with lots of yard space, a fun fire pit, and a gorgeous view of the night sky. Our teen and tween children loved the entertainment that came with the house, including frisbee golf and Wii Sports. The house has lot of fun things for younger kids, too, including a motorized mini-Jeep, a wooden train set, and a set of Lincoln Logs so they can make their own log cabin. The house came with every comfortable amenity that we could need. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. I'd give the place 6 stars if I could. We'll be back!
