Summary: It was a perfect spot for us. It’s not a “fancy” hotel like one would expect if one was traveling to a big city BUT it was a “local” spot and definitely not touristy. The staff were all very friendly, accommodating and warm. The hotel and the restaurant are both historical spots so it was neat to have stayed there and be surrounded by locals at the restaurant and visitors alike. It isn’t as accessible via public transport so we were lucky that we had rented a car. We did stay 2x, once at the beginning of our trip (with car) and once on our return back to the area as we were headed out back to the States the following day. We took public transport this time which took a while but it was expected being it being in a small town. They do have a shuttle to Malpensa for bus the next day. I will definitely stay at the hotel again on our next visit as we come every year. We would definitely rent a car again as it’s more convenient. We typically come and visit wineries up in the Lombardy and Veneto Region. Looking forward to the next stay here.
