3 Bedroom Cabin in Trewellard

Dating back to late Regency / Early Victorian times, Grenfells cottage is atraditional granite built terraced house which has been characteristically renovated recently with the addition of a bespoke fitted kitchen and a utility room providing all the necessities for self-catering. The accommodation also includes two reception rooms, with original beamed ceilings, and three bedrooms with sleeping for up to five people plus a travel cot. There is an upstairs bathroom suite including a bath with shower, toilet and basin and we also have an outside loo with wash-hand basin next to the utility room. Our welcome pack includes two bottles of wine and £10 worth of vouchers to spend at the local pub plus a pint of milk and a courtesy supply of tea, coffee and sugar. Sunday’s are our preferred change over days, but we try our best to be flexible to suit you. The house is heated by storage heaters in every room and there is a woodburner in the sitting room. The second reception room is a very useful and attractive study or a quiet room and it includes a small but growing library about the area. The woodburning stove in this room is presently for decoration only. The cottage is also a showcase for paintings and prints by artists famously of the of which are for sale. The dining room, running on from the kitchen, features the original antique Cornish range which is beautiful but purely decorative. The beds in the twin room can link together to make a large double bed if desired but we would need to know in advance. The travel cot stored beneath the double bed in bedroom two. Full instructions for the immersion are in the airing cupboard. This is an old cottage and the beams in the single room slope down to the windows; the kitchen/dining room also has a low beamed ceiling. There are sea views from most windows. There is parking for one vehicle in front of the cottage on Levant Road and private off-road parking for one small car at the rear of the property, with access from Trewellard Lane. The utility room is housed in the granite building in the back yard/garden, with separate washing machine and dryer and a stainless steel sink for handwashing. Guests will also find the BBQ and a fireguard, for the wood burner in the sitting room, for the protection of small children. There is also a loo next door with wash basin. There is a picnic table to the rear of the property which catches the morning sun and there are two benches in the front garden which enjoy the rest of days sunshine including a view of the Scilly Isles on a clear day.
